I believe that every person has great value, and that's one of the most important things when I work with people here at R Work Group. Every person is born with value, and yet so often we don't see that, we don't recognize that value, the ability and the great benefit we can be to our world. When I meet with people here at R Work Group when they are coming in, usually looking for work or maybe retraining, I sit down with them and just try to find out where they came from, what's going on, and then really from there I try to look not at what they can't do or what they're not able to figure out. I look at what they can do, their value, and then build on that. You don't ignore your barrier, your disability, but we need to recognize, even more importantly, what we can offer, and that's a big part of what we do...

...You won't necessarily meet with just one counsellor, because again, we each bring something specific, a new skill, or just a certain focus to the table. We want you to benefit from our experience, our education and knowledge, and we believe that we do have something to give back to you. We believe that we can make a difference in your life. It's not just a one way street, we also know that we learn probably almost as much as you learn, because you teach us and you invest in our lives just by coming in and meeting with us. So we're thankful for that, and we do hope that you will come in, meet with us and help us-help me, as one of the Career Coaches, find your value, and help you realize that you have so much to offer Grande Prairie.
