Ergonomics

A work station assessment is essential for all workers. Workers with disabilities can be subject to unique physical circumstances that magnify the importance of ergonomics. Work stations that limit such things as one's seating adjustability, line of vision, reaching and maneuverability can negatively affect work performance.  Preventing repetitive strain injuries and uncomfortable, dangerous work environments is extremely important for employees as well as their employers. Funding is potentially available, for qualifying employers and employees, to assist with workplace accommodations that ensure a safe, ergonomic worksite for employees with disabilities.
