VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION COUNSELLORS
Vocational Rehabilitation is a dynamic field that requires specialized counselling training that integrates knowledge of disability and career counselling. Vocational Rehabilitation Counsellors (or VRC's) have a variety of educational backgrounds ranging from college to university education. In addition, we seek staff with credentials (or a willingness to pursue the training necessary to obtain certification) including:
•CVE – Certified Vocational Evaluator
•CCRC or CRC- Canadian Certified Rehabilitation Counsellor or Certified Rehabilitation Counsellor
As a professional in this field, you are asked to have membership in our professional association, the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada (VRA - www.vracanada.com.) We do provide on-the-job training and access to short-courses for professional staff committed to the field of Vocational Rehabilitation. We adhere to a code of ethics, and seek staff who take opportunities to upgrade their knowledge and
skills through continuing education.
Community Employment Coordinator (Hinton/Edson)

Your Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with a major in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, or a counseling-related field such as psychology, social work, or special education. At least 1-year minimum in a supervisory and/or administrative role is required. Proven ability to work with the business community.
